• A historic stone spring house nestled in a sunken stone pavilion 
• An old wooden pump house that has been reclaimed by nature 
• A small waterfall that runs over a three-tiered rocky ridge

Blueway Trail is part of the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, a local wildlife area southeast of Chastain Park. The 3-mile path connects all four biomes in the park: the wetlands, the woodlands, the meadows, and the edges of Nancy Creek. There are also dozens of animal species living near the trail.

There's even an observation blind you can use to get a better view of the critters without disturbing them. The preserve is open every day from dawn to dusk and is free to visit.

Chastain Park Trail

Chastain Park Trail runs through Atlanta's most popular public park, covering just over 3 miles of green space on its largest loop. Adult tickets cost $11 at the door or $9 if purchased online before March 19th. Seniors, kids under 13, and frontline workers, such as teachers and police officers, get in for free. Parking costs an additional $10 per day.

Atlanta Blooms!

The Atlanta Botanical Garden's Atlanta Blooms! The event is celebrating its 50th year this spring, and they're going all-out to mark the occasion. This special golden jubilee will feature double the usual number of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and other flowering bulbs in a limited-time display inspired by the famous Keukenhof Gardens of the Netherlands. 

The garden is also growing its usual crop of flowers in: 

• The standard annual beds 
• The Anne Cox Chambers Flower Walk is a path through a flower field with spring blooms carefully arranged to create an ombre effect
