Atlanta Botanical Garden
If you're ready to learn more about Atlanta homes for sale, you'll find the homes and the city a perfect fit for your lifestyle. Metro Atlanta is a lively metropolis, and it just keeps getting better. The houses are beautiful, and the businesses here are thriving. When it's time for a break,  you'll find plenty of ways to fill your leisure time.

Whether you visit our city in the midst of summer or as the seasons begin to change, our real estate agents recommend that you make time in your schedule for the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

You'll enjoy the Atlanta Botanical Garden whether you're in search of gardening inspiration or you love spending time in a beautiful natural setting. Children love the Lou Glenn Children's Garden featuring the Active Outdoor and Hands-On Play areas. Art in The Garden is a collection of sculptures and creative features located throughout the venue.

There's a gift shop filled with botanically themed goods. When you get hungry, the Longleaf restaurant, Quick Cafe, and Snack Bar serve meals and treats to fit your schedule and your mood.

Here are a few more of the things we love about the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Imaginary World: Ogre & Friends

Imaginary Worlds will fascinate your whole family with a collection of giant living plant sculptures. Garden artists use a variety of materials to create whimsical creatures that bring plants to life.

Each creature requires a dedicated team effort. The team begins by building a frame and adding a fabric covering to hold the soil in place. The artists then add live plants one by one to complete each sculpture. There's a dog, a dragon, a giant bird, and a variety of whimsical creatures that stand from 6-feet to 26-feet tall. Each one is a freestanding garden, so they must water and trim them to keep them alive and healthy.

Learning Experiences

The Botanical Gardens is more than just a garden. Teachers can bring classes for tours or use the garden's Educator Resources. Anyone can learn more about conservation efforts.

Both the Atlanta and the Gainesville locations have a complete schedule of classes and experiences. Adults can learn to plan a veggie garden, practice Tai Chi, and more. Kids Programs include a variety of kid-friendly experiences including Storybook Time, Homeschool Days, and other events.

What's in Bloom

If you're waiting to see a specific flower or you're merely curious, check the garden website. The What's In Bloom page has photos of your favorite flowers and explains their common and scientific names. It also tells what species bloom during what month.

Tickets

Admission tickets are $21.95 for adults, $18.95 for children 3 to 12, and free for children under 3.

Once you visit Atlanta, you'll never want to leave. We can make that happen. Contact us if you're thinking about buying or selling a home or if you want to know more about life in Metro Atlanta.
