Home Maintenance Toolbox - Josey Young & Brady Realty

Whether you've owned your house for years, or you're just now about to buy one of the beautiful Atlanta homes for sale, all homeowners should be able to complete maintenance and repairs around their property. Our real estate agents know that even newer homes will require a little bit of handy work as the years pass. We believe that it's wise to have a handful of specific tools available to use when you need them most. Here are 15 tools that every homeowner needs in their home.

  1. Tape Measure
A tape measure is one tool you should have the minute you move in. As you attempt to move in your existing furniture or purchase new pieces, you'll need to know the exact measurements of specific spaces. We recommend buying a sturdy tap measure for around the house and a smaller tape measure to keep in your car or purse for measuring items in store.

Atlanta Filming Locations - JYB Realty

"All the world's a stage" is the classic opening line of a monologue from Shakespeare's As You Like It, but the phrase could certainly apply to modern-day Atlanta, which has become a favorite location for film crews. As you tour Atlanta homes for sale, check out these local spots that have appeared on movie and TV screens.

  1. High Museum of Art - 1280 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta 30309
With its white concrete walls, spacious and light-filled atrium and impressive collection of world art, High Museum of Art is a natural setting for dramatic movie scenes. In its most recent appearance, the High stood in for the Museum of Great Britain during Killmonger's daring theft of a Wakandan tool in Black Panther. The popular Southeast museum also turned up in What to Expect When You're Expecting, Manhunter and Allegiant.

Bridge Loans - JY&B Realty

Buying a home and selling a home each come with more than their fair share of challenges. But what if you're trying to do both at the same time? Our real estate agents understand that the struggle is real, and we're here to help.

Before you sell your home or start looking for Atlanta homes for sale, we have a few tips that might take some of the stress out of the equation. One option many homebuyers turn to is a bridge loan, which essentially "bridges" the gap between buying a new home and selling your current residence. There are a lot of benefits as well as some potential drawbacks, but it's an option worth considering.
