Mexican Food - Atlanta - JYB Realty

Atlanta is the center of Southern cooking, but our real estate agents also love its wide range of delicious Mexican cuisine. Why wait for Taco Tuesday? Enjoy a tasty meal any day of the week at these great Mexican restaurants around the ATL.

  • Agave Restaurant - 242 Boulevard SE, Atlanta, GA 30312
If you like Mexican food with a spicy Southwestern twist, head to Agave Restaurant, which earned a #1 ranking on Tripadvisor. Dishes such as posole, enchiladas, and tacos get a charge from Hatch green, guajillo red, poblano, and ancho chiles. Even sides like mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and onion rings have heat. The tequila bar features dozens of top-shelf brands that can be turned into a traditional margarita for only an additional 50 cents.

  • Nuevo Laredo Cantina - 1495 Chattahoochee Ave. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Multi-award-winning Nuevo Laredo Cantina has been a local favorite since it opened in 1992 near Atlanta homes for sale. The colorful exterior and kitschy interior create the effect of "walking into someone's Mexican kitchen," as one happy customer put it. Nuevo Laredo's signature dish is the brisket barbacoa, and the housemade chips come with "salsa that ends your search." Salsa, queso, and guacamole are available by the gallon for carry-out. The dining room is open with limited seating, or you can eat on the patio "al fresco."

  • Tacos and Tequilas - 650 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
The name is deceptively simple. Tacos and Tequilas has an extensive menu with something to satisfy everyone. Try the taquizas, billed as a "mini-taco party at your table." Your choice of protein is served with beans, rice, cilantro, onions, and tortillas so you can build tacos your way. Customers rave about the fresh ceviche and "skinny tacos" with grilled chicken breast or sautéed tilapia. The dining room at T&T is open, and you can still call in your order for carryout.

  • Señor Patron - 860 Peachtree St. SE, Suite H, Atlanta, GA 30308
The founders of Señor Patron literally gave Midtowners what they asked for. During planning, owners questioned passers-by about what kind of restaurant they wanted to see in that spot. The answer: a casual, inexpensive place to drink margaritas and eat tacos. Heartier appetites will appreciate the Fajitas All the Way with grilled chicken, shrimp, and steak. Looking for a new brunch spot? Meet family and friends at Señor Patron for huevos rancheros, spicy brisket hash, and bottomless mimosas. Hours are 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
