Small Business Saturday 2021 - Atlanta - JYB Realty

Small Business Saturday, which takes place on Nov. 27 this year, is designed to encourage shoppers to support small businesses on that day and beyond. It's a great way to support local businesses that provide unique merchandise along with personalized customer service while adding to the local flavor of the community.

Our real estate agents suggest stopping by the following establishments on Small Business Saturday and beyond.

  • Atlanta Breakfast Club - 249 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30313
Start your day of shopping by fueling up at the Atlanta Breakfast Club, a comfortable diner-style restaurant. You'll be able to choose from a modest yet delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt with local honey and house-made granola. Or go all out with a Southern Breakfast consisting of two eggs in any style, your choice of meat, grits or breakfast potatoes, and your choice of a biscuit or toast. If you'd prefer to stop by for a break in your shopping for lunch, try the fried chicken sandwich (made with two chicken breasts) or shrimp po' boy.

  • Young Blood 777 Memorial Dr. SE, Suite A104A, Atlanta, GA 30316
By shopping at Young Blood, a floral design studio and craft shop, you'll not only be patronizing an Atlanta small business but also supporting independent artists and makers. Unique hand-crafted items such as jewelry, ceramics, accessories, candles, soaps, and more are available. With such a wide variety of carefully curated items, you're sure to find something to buy for yourself or someone on your holiday gift list.

  • Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate inside Krog Street Market, 99 Krog St., Atlanta, GA 30307
Owners Matt Weyandt and Elaine Read were introduced to simple yet delicious chocolate made from cacao and cane sugar - as well as the farmers and makers that created it - while they were in Costa Rica. They learned how to make this pure, intensely flavored chocolate and brought it to Atlanta at Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate. The couple's micro-factory and retail store is located at the popular Krog Street Market, where you can buy delicious bean-to-bar chocolate that will make you forget about the typical candy bar.

  • A Cappella Books 208 Haralson Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
It may seem like small independent bookstores are a thing of the past, but A Cappella Books has brought a unique selection of books to Atlanta for more than three decades. You'll find plenty of new, used, and old or rare` books as you browse through this cozy shop, and if you'd like to sell or trade in your used books, you can also thin your collection before picking up some new titles. While you're at it, keep an eye out for the store's scheduled book signings and literary events you may be interested in.

  • The Beehive 1250 Caroline St. C120, Atlanta 30307
The Beehive is run, owned, and operated by the makers who sell their wares at the shop. You'll find a wide variety of products at the shop, including baby onesies with a peach, an outline of the state of Georgia, or the familiar "ATL" on them, or a sampler filled with blends of BBQ Rib, Seasoning Salt, and Steak Seasoning & Spicy BBQ Rub. And if you're inspired by what you find, sign up for one of The Beehive's modern craft workshops to learn or hone some skills of your own.
