Most people probably don't realize it, but on March 1st, we'll be celebrating National Peanut Butter Lover's Day. If you've been looking for Atlanta homes for sale, there are many places that you can check out if you'd like to indulge. Our real estate agents have a very long list of their favorite places to check out in Atlanta and nearby for specific peanut butter treats, but they've managed to narrow it down.
- Highland Bakery — 655 Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30312
Highland Bakery is filled with so many amazing treats, and it all started because the owner had a love of coffee. From there, a variety of culinary delights followed, and now you can have a delicious cup of java paired with sweet potato pancakes, fried chicken benedict, and several types of muffins and breads. What many locals remember them for, however, is their amazing peanut butter French toast, which has become a must-try for locals and visitors. There are two locations in Atlanta, and you can't go wrong with either one.
- Kevin Rathbun Steak — 154 Krog St. NE #200, Atlanta, GA 30307
Kevin Rathbun Steak is a local favorite for many reasons. Patrons come from miles around to indulge in everything from the lobster fritters and ribeye steaks to baked Alaska. If you're looking to celebrate this particular holiday, then you don't want to leave without grabbing one of the peanut butter and banana parfaits. Topped with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream, it's the perfect mix of sweet and salty.
- Grindhouse Killer Burgers — 209 Edgewood Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Whether you've been around for a while or are a spring chicken looking for your next go-to restaurant, Grindhouse Killer Burgers might just be the burger joint for you. It can get a bit packed during the lunch and dinner times, but their ridiculously delicious burgers, fries, and shakes are worth it. Speaking of shakes, the malted peanut butter chocolate milkshake is perfection.
- Leon's Full Service — 131 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA 30030
As the only choice on this list not located in Atlanta, you know Leon's Full Service has to be something special. We're not saying it stands out because you can get bacon in a glass as a snack, but that certainly doesn't hurt. Okay, maybe that's exactly it—and the peanut sauce (the next best thing to peanut butter) takes it to the next level. Plus, we'd be remiss if we didn't note that Leon's has one of the best cocktail programs around.
- Midway Pub — 552 Flat Shoals Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
As you can imagine, Atlanta is chock-full of bars and pubs. Midway Pub stands out because they have a huge, rotating list of craft beer and hard alcohol. But what surprises patrons the most might be their eclectic food menu that includes a peanut butter, blackberry jam, and seared pork belly sandwich. If you have a cheat day coming up, this is where we would suggest you go.
- Sublime Doughnuts — 535 10th St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
The owner of Sublime Doughnuts is a Navy veteran who went far away in his travels to explore dishes from Singapore, Australia, Dubai, and several other countries. This helped him develop culinary artistry that combines exotic flavors and unique textures. You definitely want to try the donut burgers and A-Town donuts, but for today, it's all about the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup donut. Simply amazing!
