Road Races for Summer 2022 - Atlanta, GA - JYB Realty

Running is good for both the body and the mind. You don't have to race to be considered a real runner, but many runners do enjoy hopping into a local race now and then. Luckily, there are some awesome races coming up in Atlanta this summer. Take a break from looking at Atlanta homes for sale, and register for one of these upcoming events.

  • Hotlanta: 121 Baker St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30313
Hotlanta is a running event with three races: a half-marathon, 5K, and relay. So no matter how far you feel like going, you can participate in this race to benefit Miles for Cystic Fibrosis.

The races are scheduled for June 12 and start downtown at the World of Coca-Cola. The half marathon and relay start at 7 am, and the 5K begins at 7:15 am. Pre-register for the race online.

  • 5K Stroller Roll: 400 Park Ave., Atlanta, GA
Are you a parent who prefers to take your little one along on runs? Then the 5K Stroller Roll is the perfect race for you. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. You have to push a stroller to participate, but you can be a mother, father, gandparent, or other relation to the little one in your stroller.

This fun race is scheduled for Saturday, July 9. The race starts at 8 am with the course winding through Piedmont Park. There will be hydration stations on-course, along with bathrooms at the 1.5-mile mark.

  • Christmas 5K in July: The Monroe, 306 Colonial Homes Dr. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309
Santa may be on vacation, but that won't stop the Christmas 5K in July race on July 23 at 8 am. Held at The Monroe next to the Bobby Jones Golf Course, the course is fairly flat and includes portions on the Atlanta BeltLine and a loop around the golf course.

Regular registration is $35 and ends July 22, but you can sign up on race day for an additional $5. Register by July 7 to be guaranteed a race shirt.

  • Popsicle 5K: 1354 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310
The Popsicle 5K is a fun race that winds through Gordon White Park. As the name of the race suggests, it ends with a popsicle party. Nothing tastes better than a fruity popsicle after a race on a hot, summer day.

The Popsicle 5K will take place on August 21 this year. Race-day registration begins at 7 am, and the gun goes off at 8:00 am. There will be separate awards for men and women in each age group.

  • Harts of Teal 2nd Annual Color Run: 2130 Redwine Rd., Fayetteville, GA 30215
The Harts of Teal 2nd Annual Color Run is an opportunity to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. It's scheduled for Saturday, July 9 and will weave through Fayetteville, GA. This is a great race to run if you're already nearby looking at Fayetteville homes for sale.

The Harts of Teal 2nd Annual Color Run allows each runner to collect sponsors in order to fundraise for ovarian cancer research. There are prizes not only for the fastest runners but also for the most effective fundraisers.

Whether you run one of these races or all of them, we hope you have a lovely summer running around Atlanta. The city has a very vibrant and active running community. If you're thinking of moving to the area, contact us soon. Our real estate agents would love to help you find the perfect home.
