- Understand Standard TV Sizes
Televisions come in various standard sizes, so it's important to know how to measure for your home. A TV's size refers to its length, which is measured diagonally from the TV screen's upper-left corner to its lower-right corner, not from side to side. For instance, a 55-inch TV is about 49 inches wide by 29 inches tall. Standard TV sizes include 24" up to 85". Before you start shopping for a new TV for Atlanta homes for sale, decide which room you're going to put it in. The size and layout of your room are important for comfortable viewing. - Ultra HD – Also referred to as 4K TVs, Ultra HD TVs have at least 3840 x 2160 pixels. This resolution quadruples the number of pixels to nearly 8 million, about four times more pixels than Full HD TVs. Ultra HD resolutions are usually found on 40" to 55" screens.
- 8K TV – This option has four times the resolution of 4K TVs with 7680 x 4320 pixels, nearly 32 million pixels. To fully experience this amount of pixels, you need a big-screen TV with a 65", 75", or 85" screen.
- Get a TV With a Backlighting System
New TVs are much thinner than older models, but they have multiple layers that control color, images, and lighting on the screen. Backlighting systems greatly impact how good your TV screen looks in terms of color and contrast (the difference and definition between dark and light objects). Direct-lit TVs tuck their backlighting behind the display and get brighter than edge-lit TVs.
