An important day is coming up! November 5th is National Donut Day, and if you're anything like us, you plan to celebrate by biting into your favorite donut. And finding a great donut in Atlanta is not hard! The city has a lot of incredible donut shops and bakeries. Here are a few of the top spots our real estate agents recommend.
- Sublime Doughnuts - 2566 Briarcliff Road NE, Suite 107, Atlanta, GA 30318
Sublime Doughnuts is a great place to get your donut fix after a morning of looking at Atlanta homes for sale. The shop's owner and baker brings unique, international twists to his creations.
Sublime Doughnuts' favorites include the Chocolate Banana Fritter, Red Velvet Cake Doughnut, and the Sweet Potato Cake Doughnut. Chocolate lovers can't go wrong with the Deep Dark Chocolate option! The shop also serves ice cream, along with their own version of ice cream sandwiches, which they call "burgers."
- Revolution Doughnuts & Coffee - 745 Edgewood Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
Nothing pairs better with donuts than coffee! At Revolution Coffee & Donuts, you can enjoy the best of both. All their donuts and fillings are handmade without trans fats and use seasonal ingredients whenever possible.
The Cinnamon Sugar yeast doughnuts are a tried-and-true classic at Revolution Doughnuts, as are the Blackout Chocolate Cake Doughnuts. They even have several vegan options, including Pumpkin Struesel, Birthday Cake, and Apple Pie. The Crunchy Mister, made with bechamel sauce and black forest ham, is a unique savory choice.
- Donnie's Donuts - 701-5 Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30312
Donnie's Donuts is one of the best options in Atlanta for classic donuts. Their menu includes Cinnamon Rolls, Apple Pie Donuts, and even French Toast donuts.
You can pre-order from Donnie's and skip the line when you pick up your order. They offer several 4-donut combo packs, along with 6-packs and 12-packs. Don't forget to add a coffee drink to your order. The Works, made with cold brew, caramel, and chocolate syrup, is sure to put you in a good mood.
- The Salty - 1050 Howell Mills Road #101, Atlanta, GA 30318
The Salty started as a pop-up shop, but it soon became so popular the owners decided to open permanent locations. They make their donuts with the highest-quality ingredients and partner with local suppliers whenever possible.
The Salty has a lot of unique flavors, like Whipped Lemon Ricotta Bomboloni, Brown Butter & salt, and Candied Pistachio & White Chocolate. Of course, you can't go wrong with their Chocolate Cake or Traditional Glazed donuts, either. And you might want to take home some Parmesan Garlic Butter Rolls for dinner while you're at it!
- HERO - 33 Georgia Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA 31312
HERO is a cafe and breakfast restaurant known for their doughnuts. They offer four flavors: O.G. Vanilla Glazed, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Sprinkles. You can purchase them individually, half dozen, or whole dozen. They also have some specialty doughnuts, which vary by the day.
HERO is dog-friendly, and they have an outdoor seating area. Their full breakfast menu includes several breakfast sandwich options, a variety of plates, and a full list of espresso drinks. The fresh-squeezed orange juice also pairs well with a donut if you're not in the mood for coffee.
Wherever you decide to celebrate, we hope you have a lovely National Donut Day. Make sure you pick up a few to share with family and friends. And, of course, don't hesitate to contact us if you're looking for a new home in the Atlanta area. We're happy to help!
