Atlanta Home Show

The 47th annual Atlanta Home Show is coming to the Cobb Convention Center from March 20th to 22nd. This massive shopping event features dozens of Atlanta vendors selling everything from gadgets and cookware to roofing and flooring—and of course, plants. Some of the city's best garden and landscaping businesses will be there, including:

  • Fairy Garden Mother
  • Arts Landscaping
  • Georgia Luxe Outdoors
  • Top Tiers Trees

Most will have plants ready for purchase, but you might also get access to special deals on inventory that sellers keep at their main stores.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 20th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the 21st, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 22nd. Adult tickets cost $11 at the door or $9 if purchased online before March 19th. Seniors, kids under 13, and frontline workers, such as teachers and police officers, get in for free. Parking costs an additional $10 per day.

Atlanta Blooms!

Address: 1345 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30309

The Atlanta Botanical Garden's Atlanta Blooms! The event is celebrating its 50th year this spring, and they're going all-out to mark the occasion. This special golden jubilee will feature double the usual number of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and other flowering bulbs in a limited-time display inspired by the famous Keukenhof Gardens of the Netherlands

The garden is also growing its usual crop of flowers in:

  • The standard annual beds
  • The Anne Cox Chambers Flower Walk is a path through a flower field with spring blooms carefully arranged to create an ombre effect
  • The Edible Garden, which will be filled with edible tulips until the end of the season

All together, there will be nearly 300,000 spring blooms to enjoy here over the next few weeks.

The event runs through all of March and April and is free with general admission to the garden. You can get tickets for as little as $27.95 per adult or $24.95 per child under 12 on weekdays.

The Victorian Atlanta

Address: 505 N. Angier Ave.NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

The Victorian Atlanta was founded in 2017 by two passionate gardeners who dreamed of a space that was equal parts plant shop and art studio. Their workshop series is part of that vision, giving gardeners new ways to put their green thumbs to work.

The store's upcoming Tropical Terrarium Building workshop is perfect for budding planters with limited outdoor space. Scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, from 3 to 4 p.m. at their Old Fourth Ward location, the session has two components

  • Building your own glass terrarium
  • Learning how to feed and water the plants inside without disrupting the ecosystem within

Tickets cost $75 per person and come with all the materials you'll need to make your terrarium (plants included!). As a bonus, you'll also get a 20-percent discount on all additional purchases made at the shop that day.
